Nob, Vexing Saboteur (AVL-084)
Question: I control Raven's Order Class B's Representative, Siphone (DRC-069), and I play Nob, Vexing Saboteur (AVL-084) from the graveyard using Siphone's ability to play Student resonators by paying [W][B]. My opponent controls Angelic Seal of Yomidgard (MP03-098). Will Nob be affected by Angelic Seal?
Answer: No. According to the Q&A of MP03, as the player playing Nob has paid an alternative cost that does not include cost reduction and also exactly matches the printed cost of the card, the effect of Angelic Seal of Yomidgard does not affect Nob while played from a graveyard paying it spending exactly [W][D].
Glyph of Eternal Sonata (QSK-041)
Question: With this card's automatic ability, can I change the text of an automatic ability on a card with [Untouchable]?
Answer: Yes. [Untouchable] prevents the ability from being cancelled, targeted, or moved between zones by effects other than the source itself, but it does not prevent the text from being changed. And, since changing the text means the source of the movement would be the card itself, [Untouchable] would not prevent the card from being banished either.
Melody of the Furious Pursuit (QSK-044)
Question: By using this card on a resonator, can I make that resonator attack illegal targets, such as cards that the resonator cannot legally attack?
Answer: Technically yes, but the attacker and/or the attack target will be illegal; according to rules 803.4a and 4b, combat will proceed directly to the end of the Battle Step, and the end of that combat will begin.
Question: And could you force a Resonator to attack a Warden controlled by the same player?
Answer: Yes, that is also a legal move, and the combat would continue as normal.
The Melodic Key (QSK-048)
Question: If I activate The Melodic Key's ability and don't find either a Resonator or a Warden, do I have to keep revealing cards until I've revealed the entire deck, and then arrange all the revealed cards however I want and place them at the bottom of my deck?
Answer: Yes. Since you must do everything possible, you would continue revealing cards until the entire deck is revealed; then, you could arrange them however you like and place them at the bottom of your deck. But remember not to exceed the time limit for each action!
Xander, Last Survivor of Outland (QSK-049 JR)
Question: If I activate the [+1] ability of Xander, Last Survivor of Outland, does it retain all the counters that were on it when it moves to the ruler area?
Answer: Yes. According to Rule 1022.2, if a card moves from the field, the Ruler Area, or the Order Area to a zone other than the field, the Ruler Area, or the Order Area, you must remove all counters from that card. Therefore, since Xander moves from the field to the Ruler Area, he retains all his counters.
Knight's Shade (QSK-061)
Question: If I control two Knight's Shades and there are no other resonators on the field, does their <Overlook> ability protect both of them from being targeted by abilities?
Answer: It depends. If the effect attempting to target your Knight's Shade can only target resonators (and since it cannot target any other resonator) it can target resonators with <Overlook>, because <Overlook> specifies " if able."
Primordial Evil, Varkuzhal (QSK-072)
Question: With its [-X] ability, can I choose for X to be zero?
Answer: No. Since there were previously no willpower abilities with a cost of -X, we have added a new rule to the CR to explain the behavior of willpower abilities with -X in their cost:
If the willpower ability has "-X” as cost, if the card has willpower counters on it, the card always has enough willpower counters to pay the cost of the willpower ability. While choosing the value of X, choose any number between “1” and the number of willpower counters on the card that is the source of that willpower ability. X cannot be 0.
Prismatic Goddess of Yomidgard, Velmar (QSK-086)
Question: What does the term "Prismatic" mean?
Answer: "Prismatic" means "A card with five attributes."
Question: Are stones that produce will of any attribute considered prismatic?
Answer: Unless specified on the card, a stone does not have attributes. So, generally no, they are not considered prismatic.
Question: If my starting ruler is Prismatic Goddess of Yomidgard, Velmar, can I include one copy of a rune card in the main deck and another identical one in the rune deck?
Answer: It depends. According to rule 404.1b, during deck construction, certain card effects specifically prohibit or limit other cards. Those effects, regardless of how they are worded, apply to the main deck, extra deck, rune deck, EX deck, and Stranger deck, but not to the magic stone deck or sideboard.
Therefore, you generally cannot have two cards with the same name in both the main deck and the rune deck simultaneously. However, if that card has an ability allowing you to include more than four copies in the deck, and that card is a rune, then you may include one copy of that card in the rune deck and the rest in the main deck.
Question: If my starting ruler is Prismatic Goddess of Yomidgard, Velmar, can I include more than one copy of any stone in the magic stone deck?
Answer: No. Just as cards governed by rule 404.1a are an exception to rule 404.1b, "Singleton" rulers are also an exception. For those rulers, the restrictive effect extends to the magic stone deck; therefore, you may only play one copy of each stone in that deck.
Whirlpool of Knowledge (QSK-094)
Question: I have the non-Paradoxical version of this card, and I've seen that Grimm appears in it! Is Grimm in Yomidgard?
Answer: Good eye! No, unfortunately Grimm is not in Yomidgard. As Whirlpool of Knowledge flavor text says, the Goddess Velmar travelled to the source of all knowledge, a place beyond the borders of Yomidgard, outside that dimension. The source of all knowledge is one of the places that Grimm found in his travels, and it is also a very important place that will appear again in the future.
