Today, the spoiler season of Arcana Battle Colosseum Duel Decks has begun!
From today until the beginning of WGP 2024, we'll see new cards from the ABC Duel Decks released daily in social media. But before we get started, we want to explain how this very special spoiler season will be.
To develop the ABC Duel Decks, we have used so many themes: Twelve Sacred Knights, Zombies, Wizards, Daimyos, Ninjas… even Gears, after their defeat at Solaris, are appearing one last time!
In these decks, we have applied the Reworking Protocol to some cards. Thanks to that, seven cards that will appear in the ABC Duel Decks will leave the Banned list in the next update. During this spoiler season, we will reveal new cards every day and those seven updated cards, which will be revealed the same day as their new support is revealed.
Our rules experts have also updated so many cards on the ABC Duel Decks, so their wording matches the wording we are using in 2024. For example, this is how cards have been updated:
We have also used the ABC Duel Decks to do minor updates to some cards, to make them work with the intention we had when they were developed. We will reveal these cards with the next banned list update, as those updates will reduce the Combination Banned List considerably. And as these cards will count as cards with the RWP applied, you will be also be able to get them at reduced rarity in MP02 booster packs!
And we have created a new keyword for the ABC Duel Decks: [Consensus].
For entities:
[Consensus] (A or B) – As this card enters the field, starting with you, each player in clockwise order chooses (A) or (B). Then, perform the following effects.
For chants:
[Consensus] (A or B) – As you play this card, starting with the next player in clockwise order, each player chooses (A) or (B). Perform from among the following effects only the effect that has been chosen more times, or the tie if any.
We hope that, thanks to [Consensus], the strategic and social component of playing ABC games will increase in the same way that the fun increases with more players participating!
Maybe you have noticed that the ABC Void Deck is now a “x2” deck. This means that inside the ABC Duel Deck 06 there will be two copies of the Void Deck. So, purchasing only one ABC Duel Deck 06 will grant you a full playset of all the non-J/ruler new cards that come in that deck.
